We love colored glue and now with all the glue on sale we have been stocking up on it. We made these Glue Ghosts last year and I thought it would be fun to make a summer version. We just squeezed the glue onto wax paper. Ry made a "dancer" which made me think of bringing out the cookie cutters. We filled them in with the glue and then waited until they were dry. It took about 24 hours for them to be completely dry. We carefully peeled them off the paper and punched a hole in them with a hole punch. We hung them in the window so we could get the whole effect of the colored glue. Awesome, huh?

I've never done this with my kids. This looks like lots of fun - we will definitely be trying this - thanks for the idea!
Wow, this is awesome! We have been stocking up on the glue as well. Do you just color it with food coloring?
This is brilliant - and so easy. I always find that when I first put PVA (that's what we call it) glue most of the children just want to drizzle it all over a page - so this would be a perfect activity for them & we'd have something lovely to hang up afterwards - thanks
how awesome. I am pinning this!
It is so fun, and my kids love it. We just added a couple drops of food coloring to the bottle, replaced the lid and shook it until it was all mixed up. Glad you all like it. Have fun!
I never thought to use cookie cutters, but DUH! I'm definitely going to try this one! Thanks.
Great idea! We'll have to try this - thanks for sharing :-)
We tried this and the kids had so much fun! Thanks for the idea about the cookie cutters!
I've used glue colored with food coloring to make Christmas ornaments. We put the glue into small plastic lids - like from Pringles' cans and then decorated with glitter, bits of ribbon, sequins and the like. You just put a looped ribbon or opened small paperclip down 1st and then fill the lid with glue. Never thought of making suncatchers, though. Thanks for the idea!
I've seen somebody do some art out of these glue dots and I think it would be great if my children would try to do some. Glue products would be really great with it. Aside from using it in sticking something, it can now also be used for art purposes.
looks like a lot of fun I wonder if you could use those silly bands glue on with clear glue then fill with colored glue and leave them on and punch hole and hang?
I did this with puffy paint it is really beautiful. You need to use the pastel colors.
I'm going to use this idea to have my kids make Christmas ornaments this year. Thanks!
Take the tip out of old magic markers and drop them in a bottle of school glue let it sit for 24hrs and the glue will be colored! It is a great way to use up markers that are almost dried up.
Used glitter glue and it was a huge hit!
probably a dumb question but will the sun make them get soft or melt or anything? thanks for your time. Super cute idea :-)
Hi Jodie, no such thing as a dumb question! :) I have no idea. I wouldn't think that it would melt but I've never put them in the direct sunlight in the summer. It's a very good question and maybe a science experiment???
Love this simple idea yet fabulous fun idea!
Lynne Sheer - great idea!
I love the idea. Is parchment paper enough underneath and does it easily peel off?
Hi. It does peel off pretty easily. Just go slow with the peeling. Have fun!
