Surprise Prints

Lately, my two have been obsessed with keys.  Ever since we did our key puzzles, they just can't seem to get enough of them.  So I set this little activity up for them.  I taped down some of the keys to a piece of paper with some cardboard stars.  Then, I covered it with another piece of paper, taping that one down too.
I took out the circle crayons that we made (that is a whole different post that I need to do) and told them to rub the paper with the crayons for a surprise.  They were super excited and when the keys began to make a print they got even more excited.  R ran to get the keys to try to match them like the key puzzles.  This was a simple activity that took, like, 2 seconds to do and the kids loved it.  Surprise!! I will have to try it with something else in the next couple days.  A great science, fine motor, pre-writing and colors.
